Akili Academy is one the newest charter schools in New Orleans, recently opening its doors in 2008 to kindergarten through second grade with the goal of going through 8th grade by 2015. This charter offers an intensive literacy and math instruction aiming to best prepare its students for top college prep high schools in New Orleans.

Mission: Akili Academy of New Orleans equips students in kindergarten through eight grade for success in college preparatory high schools and selective colleges. Within a structured and rigorous learning environment, Akili Academy students excel in academic pursuits, develop strong character, and are poised for success.
